Objectif: L'objectif de cette lettre à l'éditeur est d'élucider davantage les arguments présentés par Keates (2022) et Beechey (2022) dans leurs lettres à l'éditeur. Bambara (2022) et Camarata (2022) formulent des commentaires qui nécessitent de clarifier les arguments originaux, en particulier concernant le pouvoir et la socialité autistique, ce qui, selon nous, apportera une clarté supplémentaire à ce sujet hautement significatif et croissant dans la recherche sur l'autisme.
Conclusion : Nous recommandons d'enseigner non pas aux personnes autistes, mais plutôt aux individus non autistes, la socialité autistique, afin de décharger les interlocuteurs autistes dans les interactions et la socialisation inter-neurotypes (selon la littérature antérieure, Bottema-Beutel et al., 2018). Nous proposons des recommandations pour aborder les difficultés dans les interactions inter-neurotypes - par exemple, en comblant le fossé neurotypique grâce à des pratiques ou à des interventions psychosociales visant à accepter les personnes autistes et leur système d'interprétation, conformément à Jones et al. (2021).
