Depuis sa création, le concept de neurodiversité a été défini de manière variable et largement débattu, ce qui peut provoquer de la confusion chez ceux qui ne sont pas familiers avec le sujet. De plus, apprendre sur la neurodiversité est un défi en raison du manque d'informations bien organisées et contextualisées de manière appropriée, ainsi que de la prévalence de la désinformation sur le sujet. Pour surmonter ces obstacles, nous présentons une liste de lecture annotée, élaborée en collaboration par un groupe de recherche neurodiverse. Les neuf thèmes abordés dans la liste de lecture couvrent l'histoire de la neurodiversité et les compréhensions contemporaines de celle-ci. Les sujets abordés dans ces thèmes incluent : l'importance des expériences vécues, ainsi que des domaines de recherche spécifiques tels que l'autisme, le TDAH, la dyslexie, le bégaiement, les lésions cérébrales et la santé mentale. Les derniers thèmes sont orientés vers des moyens de renforcer le domaine de la neurodiversité, y compris des considérations concernant l'anti-validisme, la nécessité d'une théorie et de méthodes de recherche solides, et l'intégration de travaux ouverts, inclusifs et participatifs. Nous espérons que cette ressource pourra aider les lecteurs à comprendre certaines des idées et des sujets clés au sein de la neurodiversité, et qu'elle pourra également orienter les chercheurs vers des pratiques scientifiques plus rigoureuses, déstigmatisantes, accessibles et inclusives.

Since its inception, the concept of neurodiversity has been variably defined and widely discussed, which may cause confusion among those unfamiliar with the topic. Further, learning about neurodiversity is challenging given the lack of well-curated, appropriately contextualized information and the prevalence of misinformation on the topic. To address such barriers, we present an annotated reading list that was developed collaboratively by a neurodiverse research group. The 9 themes covered in the reading list span across the history of neurodiversity and contemporary understandings of it. Topics covered in the themes include: the importance of lived experiences, as well as specific research areas such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, stuttering, traumatic brain injury, and mental health. The final themes are oriented towards ways of strengthening the area of neurodiversity, including considerations regarding anti-ableism, the need for robust research theory and methods, and integration with open, inclusive, and participatory work. We hope this resource can support readers in understanding some of the key ideas and topics within neurodiversity, and that it can further orient researchers towards more rigorous, destigmatizing, accessible, and inclusive scientific practices.
